The snail has become a recurring character in my work and you can follow him crawling through many stories in my pieces. Here we see the snail passing through a garden which is featuring a vase with the imagery of a goddess. After researching the origins of the mold used for this vase I learned that it was made in the likeness of the late dancer Isadora Duncan who was killed in 1927 by her scarf in a car accident. My earlier piece “Bridesmaid’s Forest” which is created out of this same color green featured the snail and also one of the bridesmaids figurines that I often use. My interpretation of this piece is that this is the next scene but instead of following the bridesmaid we follow the snail into the adventure.
