This is an installation I created for my show Re/Collection at The Fuller Craft Museum in 2017. It consists of altered vintage jadeite jewelry stand hands and kiln manipulated milk glass.

After this piece was up in the museum I received a poem from someone who was moved by the piece:

Various milky green hands

holding Dalian China Rose

misremember

perfected fingers with no need of

Faces, eyes

the symbols they make

lift the fishing string inside

that holds the heart in place

the other things they’re holding

also hang, dimensionless

gently twirling

as shadows born between two lights
